This month we’re taking a trip to Paris to visit the landmark churches and organs in that city. We start at the mother church, Notre-Dame Cathedral. We hear the organ of the church, as well as music composed by organists who played there, and Johan Vexo tells us about being there the day the fire broke out.
Mander Organs Limited was an English pipe organ building company based in London. Founded by Noel Mander in 1936, the company made a significant mark on the art of organ building by creating new instruments and rebuilding important older instruments all over the world. This week we listen to a few notable instruments by the Mander firm: both new and refurbished organs.
